How to Read Your Meter

Click here for instructions on how to read your meter:

In Heyford Park there are two companies which provide your water services:
County Water for sewerage and Thames Water for fresh water, and you will receive bills from both companies for two distinct services.

1) County Water for sewerage
County Water runs the sewerage treatment plant which is based in Upper Heyford.
This plant is maintained by County Water.   As a result, the cost of the sewerage service is billed by Country Water and not Thames Water. The usage is based on the meter reading of your Thames water meter, and the tariff is reduced to represent sewerage out.
Billing from County Water:
County Water charges for the sewerage out and not the clean water in although the freshwater readings are used as a reference for consumption.
We plan to read meters once a year in the Spring, and we bill your consumption twice a year: Once in the Spring and once in the Autumn of each year.   Each bill will arrive by post into your letter box.

2 ) Thames water:
Thames Water provides the clean water into your property, and you will receive bills from Thames Water also.

Thames Water does not process your sewerage. Their bill should only be for the clean water consumption, arriving to your property through the Thames Water meter. So, Thames Water should not invoice you for your sewerage service and should issue a refund for your sewerage charges through them if they have billed you for that service. Unfortunately, this is something only you can request from Thames Water as your account is with them.

IMPORTANT:  House Move:
If you leave or sell your property, please send County water your meter readings, via email together with your forwarding address so that we can close your account.  Otherwise, we may continue billing you incorrectly. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
Please ask any new occupants to contact us with their details if you can.
